DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY
Introduction
Geography was started since the 4th and 5th century as a branch of knowledge on Global level. It is a part of human civilization. It is started in India since 11th century in the form of Astronomy. There are two main branches of geography, one of them is Physical geography and second one is Human geography. Physical geography is related to study of lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere. Human geography includes the study of relationship between nature & Man. Environmental Geography was introduced on Global level in 1970. It was started in India after a decade. Now a day GIS & Remote Sensing, analytical study of GPS, Petrology and Mineralogy are challenging branches in geography all over the world.
Geography is science; it includes the study of relationship between nature & Man. Previous nature of Geography was purely descriptive. Now a day it is analytical & more scientific. Use of statistical methods, GIS & Remote sensing is already introduced in the department. The department of English of our college has established in September 2000.

Providing quality Geographical education to the student at Undergraduate and equip them with skills for research and profession. The Department of Geography is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and to serving our communities, from local to global.
Mission
- To provide high quality Geo2019 CBCS Pattern graphical education through teaching and research to students and equipping them to master the concepts in Geography and apply successfully to real world problems.
- To lead the development of academic, educational, and research directions of human and natural systems, Urban and Rural Problems and geospatial information science, harnessing the integrative nature of geographic science to answer fundamental questions of global importance.
- To Make Responsible Person to Protect and Save Environment.
- To Develop Knowledge and Awareness about the Global Environmental Issues in the Rural and Hilly Area, and also Urban Area too.

- To develop in pupils an understanding of how environment and climatic factors have influenced our life.
- To develop in them an understanding of basic concepts, principles and theories relating to geographical phenomena.
- To help the pupils to acquire knowledge of their physical and social environment and thus to broaden their outlook.
